Hello. A little FAQ/WTF is in order. I started Irregulara.org as what I’ll refer to (for lack of a better term) a “New Media Label” or “Media Lab”. Think part record label, part film studio, part art gallery—remixing these via the Internet. This is a platform for sharing and spreading links, news, media and the occasional rant/discussion/Big Idea. The tools of creation have been Democratized—let’s see what we can do with them.
A good place to start, it seems, is this speech/rant by Bruce Sterling at this year’s SXSW, which has one of my favorite recent quotes:
The native Internet Generation cares nothing for the proprieties of 20th Century Media.
