It seems MSNBC really hit a home-run with it’s new embed-able player. Nicely designed, and the video quality might be the best of any of the networks’ offerings, rivaling CNN.
I’ve been subscribed to the Fora.tv podcast feed featured in the iTunes Music Store for a while, but I’ve never managed to check out the site (the feed is just excerpts). After spending a while browsing, I was really surprised by the amount of cool stuff they have archived. While the site is in dire need of a usability overhaul, and they could/should up the video quality a bit, it’s definitely worth it to spend some time browsing, especially if you’re a C-SPAN-type nerd.

Near the top of my “favorite photographers” list is Julius Shulman, whose body of work is probably the preeminent documentation of Modernism in Architecture. I don’t know how I missed it, but Taschen released a three-volume retrospective of Shulman’s work in October 2007. Julius Shulman, Modernism Rediscovered is personally curated by Benedikt Taschen and has 400+ photos in a beautiful, coffee-table-ish large format.
If you’re in LA anytime in January, be sure to check out Julius Shulman’s Los Angeles {EDIT} at the Getty Gallery at the Los Angeles Public Library.
