I Guess we’ll have to stick with the term “minisode” for now

by Scott on May 1, 2007

I’m not sure where this fits into the buzzword tagcloud—Old Media, New Media, Mashup, whatev. The NYT reports of Sony’s intention to release “minisodes”, or 5 minute remixes of programs from their vaults.

Sony Television is planning in June to introduce an Internet-based service called the Minisode Network, initially offering the mini-shows for an exclusive run on MySpace. (The company may consider establishing a separate Internet channel called the Minisode Network later.)

Interesting, but it would be much more compelling, I think, to release whole eps in a good-quality, editable format for nerds/remix artists to mutilate and submit, ala Current TV.
